HOW TO BUILD OFFERS THAT SUPPORT YOUR FREEDOM (NOT STEAL IT)
I was coaching 30+ hours a week. Working 60+ total.
I'd left a 30-year real estate career to build freedom. And I realized, I'd just built myself another job.
Here's what nobody told me: Your offer won't magically create freedom just because you're an entrepreneur now.
If you don't do the math first, you'll build a prison that looks like a business.
I Built It Backwards
When I started coaching, I did what everyone does.
I looked at what successful coaches were doing. I copied their model. I launched 1:1 coaching at what felt "reasonable."
I filled my calendar. I made money. From the outside, it looked like I was crushing it.
But I was trapped.
The problem? I never asked: How much do I WANT to make? How many hours do I WANT to work? What does my ideal Tuesday look like?
I just built what I thought I was "supposed" to and hoped it would work out.
The Math I Wish I'd Done First
Here's what changed everything:
I stopped asking "What should I create?" and started asking "What life do I want to live?"
Then I reverse engineered the offer from there.
$250k/year. 20 hours/week. 4 weeks off.
That's 960 hours available per year.
$250k ÷ 960 hours = $260/hour MINIMUM.
But not every hour is billable. Admin exists. Marketing exists.
So you're looking at $350 to $500/hour OR you build leveraged models. So I did that, Built my Hybrid/Group coaching program.

What Actually Fits Your Life
If you want $250k/year working 20 hours/week:
High ticket 1:1 at $5k/month, 5 clients = $300k/year. But that's 30+ hours/month delivery plus admin, marketing, sales. Doesn't fit.
Group program at $3k, 25 people, 3 cohorts/year = $225k. 15 hours/week during cohorts, lighter between. Fits.
Digital course at $997, 251 sales/year = $250k. 10 to 15 hours/week after creation. Fits.
Each one has completely different time requirements.
That's why you do the math BEFORE you build.
When I finally restructured my offers based on my actual life goals, everything changed. I had more freedom for other lines of income, for family, for fun. That's what building it right actually creates.
The Real Problem
Most people build an offer that sounds good in theory. Then they try to make their life fit it.
That's backwards.
Your offer exists to support YOUR life. Not the other way around.
The entrepreneurs who build sustainable, profitable, freedom-based businesses aren't the ones with the best ideas.
They're the ones who did the math first.
They started with their revenue goal AND their life goal. They reverse-engineered the offer. They built from alignment.
And when the offer didn't fit their capacity, they changed it. Not their life.
Before You Build (Or Rebuild)
Ask yourself:
How much do I want to make? How many hours do I want to work? What does my ideal Tuesday look like?
Then do the math.
Then build the offer that actually supports that.
Not what looks good on Instagram. Not what everyone else is doing.
What actually works for YOUR life.
That's how you create freedom.
