
The Real Reason You’re Not Closing Sales (And It’s Not Your Script)
Let’s get one thing straight:
If your leads are ghosting…
If your proposals stall out…
If you're doing all the right things and still not closing…
It’s not your offer.
It’s not your pricing.
And it’s definitely not your script.
It’s your energy.
Sales is not strategy. It’s frequency.
Yes, you need clarity. Yes, your offer needs structure. But the moment you treat sales like a performance or a pitch instead of a sacred transfer of belief, you break trust with the one person who needs it most: you.
Sales Begins Before You Say a Word
You’ve felt it before.
That conversation where you knew they were going to say yes—before they even opened their mouth.
Or the one where you already sensed it was a no—no matter how perfect your offer was.
That’s not intuition. That’s energy.
And it’s happening on a subconscious level in every single sales conversation.
In my early days—back when I was building a coaching business from scratch with $0 in the bank and a mountain of life behind me—I closed clients I had no “right” to land.
Not because I was polished.
Not because I had a funnel.
But because I believed. Deeply.
In my value. In my process. In their transformation.
One of my earliest and most unforgettable experiences with the power of belief occurred when I was newly full-time in real estate. A client gave me a chance—he handed me a subdivision to sell. I moved the homes fast. It was one of those moments where belief met momentum and things just clicked.
Fast forward a few years later… that same client was dying of lung cancer. He had a wife, five children, and one last home that wasn’t selling. Offers were coming in, but they were insulting. Lowball after lowball. And time was running out.
I knew I had to lead.
So I went to his brother, who owned a remodeling company, and laid it out:
“Give me a crew. Give me a budget. Let me reface this house, add curb appeal, stage it. Let me pull it off the market, do it right, and relist it at a much higher price.”
I even asked for structural changes—like removing columns.
They thought I was crazy.
But my belief in this being the solution was unshakeable. There was no hesitation in my voice. No backup plan. Just certainty.
They trusted me.
Two weeks later, the house hit the market again.
We did one open house.
It sold that weekend—full price. Cash. AND I got both sides of that transaction!
That’s what belief looks like in action.
That’s what leadership looks like when it serves something bigger.
And that’s what your clients are actually buying: your ability to hold the vision until they can.
That’s what I now call The Placebo Effect in Sales:
👉 Your offer is the pill.
👉 But your belief is the placebo.
It’s what your potential client responds to.
Because the truth is, people don’t buy what they understand. They buy when they feel understood—and when they believe you are the one.
Energy Is Contagious. So Is Doubt.
Your nervous system is your greatest sales tool. Or your biggest liability.
When you’re leading with certainty, congruence, and connection—people relax. They open. They feel safe to say yes.
When you’re leading with scarcity, insecurity, or desperation (even subtly)—they don’t.
Their subconscious picks up on every micro-cue you send: your tone, your posture, your eye contact, your pace, your body language. And in that moment, they decide whether to lean in… or bounce.
Which brings me to the part no one teaches:
All the sales training, NLP, frameworks, templates, scripts—they’re worthless if you don’t believe, at a soul level, in the greater good you’re serving and the real transformation you can help create.
Read that again.
Your job is not to convince.
Your job is to align—so deeply, so truthfully—that belief flows through you like gravity.
So When Does Strategy Come Into Play?
Here’s the thing most people miss:
When you believe deeply in your offer—
when you’re fully aligned with the greater good it serves—
your client gets better results.
Not just because of what you teach or deliver…
but because of the frequency you hold while doing it.
Your belief becomes their permission.
And when your energy is a match for their desired outcome—when you can hold that vision and certainty stronger than their fear—then strategy actually matters.
ONLY THEN, can tools like NLP and magnetic language stop sounding manipulative and start becoming what they’re meant to be:
✨ Pathways to reduce resistance to their desired outcomes.
✨ Bridges to what they already want.
✨ Invitations to say yes to something they already know is possible.
Let’s talk about how that works on a subconscious level—because that’s where every decision is actually made.
NLP, Words, and Why They Work (Only If You Believe)
I teach my clients how to use things like:
Pacing and leading (meeting people where they are)
Mirroring (language and body)
Meta questions (like: “What specifically would that do for you?”)
Embedded commands (“As you consider moving forward…”)
Anchoring (using emotional cues to build trust and momentum)
These are powerful tools.
But they only work when you’re energetically congruent.
If you’re using these techniques from a place of insecurity or fear, people can feel it.
And when they feel the mismatch, they say “let me think about it” and disappear.
Because remember: people don’t buy your offer.
They buy your alignment.
They buy your belief.
They buy the way they feel in your presence.
Words That Land (When They Come from Truth)
When you combine energetic alignment with precise language, things move fast.
Here are a few phrases from the book Exactly What to Say that I teach inside my sales trainings:
“I’m not sure if this is for you, but…”
“How open are you to…?”
“Would it be crazy if…?”
“What happens next is…”
These work because they invite, not force.
They guide without pressure.
And when spoken from truth, they land, in the best way.
The Conscious Close
Sales isn't about getting to “yes.”
It’s about creating a moment of powerful decision—where the person in front of you feels their own possibility more clearly than their fear of risk.
Here’s the process I teach:
Lead with energy.
Discover their ‘why.’
Mirror back their desires.
Ask if there’s anything else before presenting.
Present only what matters to them.
Use soft trial closes.
Isolate objections clearly.
Ask directly: “Is there anything stopping you from moving forward today?”
It’s clear. It’s direct. And when it’s led with belief, it’s magnetic.
Sales Is Something You Embody
You can’t fake this. And you don’t need to.
You just need to get energetically clear.
Before your next sales call, ask yourself:
Do I believe in this offer?
Do I trust the process?
Do I know the impact I can create?
Am I attached to the outcome—or am I holding space for their highest decision?
Because your client can’t say yes if you’re not already holding that frequency.
