Untethered Jenn Blog Launches: Wandering with Purpose, Coaching with Power
I never thought this would happen.
For years, I have dreamed of living free, coaching powerful humans while traveling the world, working remotely, and building a business aligned with my soul, not earning a living but living.
And for a long time, I talked myself out of it.
There was always a reason to wait: to please others, to stay in one place, to make money, to offer in-person coaching (even though it was not part of my vision). I nearly fell into that same old pattern again… until I finally said no more.
Well, it's happened. I'm 100% remote, and the next chapter of my life—and business—is in motion.
I have decided to give up my NY residency and become a digital nomad for a year.
This isn't a need to escape; I have a beautiful life. Its embodiment. It's about building a life that feels like mine from the inside out.
To get to this place, I had to simplify everything radically. I've minimized my expenses, simplified my life, and reduced my needs to one room in my home! I even traded in my beautiful $70K F150 Lariat for a $17K EcoSport, and I've never been happier. And, I have all the gear I need to work from anywhere!
My bank account isn't back to where it was in June 2022…I have been through a business blow-up and a marriage falling apart. I still have plenty to clean up in my finances. But as the money comes (and it's coming), I never want to need it again. This is prosperity on my terms. This is power with peace.
Yes, this move is scary and risky. But I've committed to never making decisions based on fear or scarcity again. I get to design the life of my dreams—now, not someday.
I'm not doing this through luxury resorts or flashy Instagram destinations. That is not who I am. I'm traveling affordably (mostly FREE) and intentionally using HomeExchange.com, a platform that lets people swap homes and create travel magic with real people. I'm also house-sitting for and visiting friends.
Here's what the first leg of this wild, aligned journey looks like:
May–June: Dominican Republic
This is where the adventure kicks off with my usual beach walks, ocean air, and anchoring into this new rhythm of simplicity, service, and freedom. DR is my launchpad—and home base.
Late June–Early July: Lisbon, Portugal
Two weeks of culture, history, and connection. My youngest daughter is joining me for week two because I want to model freedom, joy, and choice for her. Exploring a new place always brings a new layer of clarity.
July–August: I will be in New York and Connecticut for a lot of Summer fun with my granddaughter and family, connecting with friends, and continuing some gentle unraveling of the life I've left behind.
September: Palm Coast, Florida
This is a powerful pause. Three weeks in Sarasota include a speaking event where I'll share my story with leaders ready to rise. It's not just about freedom. It's about impact.
Late October–December: Dominican Republic - My new home base.
A return to rhythm, simplicity, and island energy.
January and beyond: Ireland? Canada? Colorado? We shall see!
Still unfolding. I'm leaving space for magic, alignment, and unexpected yeses.
I'm open to visiting friends with space where I can sleep and work, or find a spot nearby! So bring it on! This isn't about luxury. It's about connection, simplicity, and alignment.
