I have a confession. When I started this 14-day Habit Challenge, I wasn’t entirely sure how to approach it. I felt like I was waiting for a big breakthrough to guide the process, and honestly, it just wasn’t coming. So, I went through the motions with you, trusting that something meaningful would emerge. By day 5, I’ll admit—I was a little disappointed in my intuition. It all felt a bit flat.
But then, BOOM. 💥
I had a realization that changed everything. Despite years of honing my daily habits to be nearly impeccable and fully aligned with who I am and want to be (yes, even with the weekly chocolate desert fest 🤣), I realized I was still playing an old, deeply ingrained, nonstop soundtrack in my head.
It wasn’t obvious to me at all, but it was there, clear as day—a loop of judgment and control tied to certain experiences in my life, even to the people I love most. And here’s the real breakthrough: thoughts are habits too. Duh!?
This was a wow moment for me. It’s not something I’d ever fully acknowledged before. But when I looked at my thoughts as habits, it all clicked. These thought patterns, just like actions, are deeply ingrained. And just like any other habit, they can be rewired through consistency and a willingness to keep going deeper within.
This realization didn’t just shift how I see myself—it shifted how I will approach helping others. The principles I’ve been practicing and guiding others through—awareness, mindfulness, and intentionality—are exactly what break us free from these old patterns. Transformation starts with action, but it goes into overdrive when we continually gain deeper levels of awareness of our thoughts. That’s where the real power lies.
A Surprising Realization
What made this discovery so surprising is that my daily habits and routines have been near impeccable for the past year. I’ve worked hard to create routines and practices that align with my purpose, and they’ve become second nature. Even with all the work I’ve done, I have thick layers of thought patterns silently influencing my actions, choices, and energy. These weren’t the glaringly obvious thoughts I have overcome with mindset shifts, but subtle, powerful, and deeply ingrained beliefs that have been running in the background still!
This level of awareness was a revelation and showed me that while my actions have been aligned, there’s ALWAYS space to go within, continually uncovering the old thought habits that no longer serve us. Consistency and the desire to go deeper within is the key.
Judging in the Name of Love
This realization didn’t come out of nowhere. I’ve been peeling back layers of old thought patterns that have quietly driven my choices for years. What I uncovered wasn’t about judging the world—I don’t suffer from that anymore. I stay out of politics and current events—yet continually judging myself, my circumstances, and the people closest to me.
Here’s the thing: I thought this came from love. I thought this was part of what it meant to care deeply about my family and the circumstances in my life. I realize that judgment, even when it feels well-intentioned, isn’t love.
Judgment keeps me in a space of control and worry—wanting to fix, wanting to protect, wanting to guide outcomes. This is not freedom. And while I believed this came from a good place, it’s been holding me and the people I love back. Not just in my personal life, but in how I show up to serve others, how I build my business, and how I follow my intuition. We all had a breakthrough today!🐉
Awareness as Freedom
Taking an honest inventory of my habits and thoughts quarterly has been nothing short of transformative. The more aware I become of these patterns, the freer I feel. Instead of reacting to old ways of thinking, I’m learning to pause, to observe, and to choose powerfully.
This process has reminded me of something I’ve always known deep down: I don’t have to control outcomes to create the life I want. In fact, the more I surrender, the more I allow, the more aligned I feel with my intuition and my purpose.
The Beauty of Growth
What’s most beautiful about my line of work is that it’s never done and it takes me to higher levels of frequency every day. Even with all the growth ( AKA as challenges) I’ve experienced in the past 3 years, there are always deeper layers to uncover. This isn’t about fixing myself—I’m not broken. It’s about evolving, becoming more aligned, and stepping further into my truth.
My life only gets better with these practices, though it’s not always easy. There are moments when I struggle, kicking and screaming as I give birth to the truth. But every time, I come through the other side freer—freer in my thoughts, in my habits, and in my purpose. And freedom? That’s my ultimate why. Freedom for myself, and freedom for all.
Aligning With the Winter Solstice
The timing of these lessons is perfectly aligned with the full moon in Jupiter and leading us into the Winter Solstice. This is a season of reflection, of slowing down and going inward. Just as the solstice marks the longest night of the year, it also signals the beginning of new light—a chance to let go of what no longer serves us and create space for what’s to come.
In these darker, quieter moments, we have the opportunity to reconnect with ourselves, our values, and our purpose. This challenge—and everything I’ve learned during it—has given me the tools to embrace the solstice fully. It’s a time to reflect on where I’ve been, realign with who I’m becoming, and step into the new year with clarity, joy, and unwavering purpose.
Thank you for letting me share these reflections. If there’s one thing I hope you take away, it’s this: the work of awareness and alignment is never done, but it’s always worth it.
With love, light, and prosperity,
